Destination: Cuc Phuong National Park - Trang An - Hanoi

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong (L / D)

* In the morning we leave Hanoi for Cuc Phuong National Park, which is 130km south of Hanoi.
* Upon arrival in the national park we visit to the Primate Rescue Centre, which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, breeding, research and conservation of the endangered primates of Vietnam. From here we drive further to the centre of the national park where we start our real jungle trek through the national park. A national park ranger will be our on-site guide who makes sure that we do not get lost and he will tell us about the flora and fauna of the park.
* Picnic lunch in the shade of a giant tree.
* After 6-hr trek with lots of descents and ascents on jungle trails we make the last climb downhill to a peaceful valley and reach the village of Khanh, home to Muong ethnic minority.
* We will have dinner and spend our night with a family in their traditional house-on-stilt.

Summary:
Transfer Hanoi – Cuc Phuong: 2.5 hrs
Trekking: 6 hrs/jungle trail – Moderate to Challenging grade
Meals: Picnic lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Home stay

Day 2: Cuc Phuong – Trang An – Hanoi (B / L)


* After breakfast we say goodbye to the hosts and drive to Trang An, Apart from the historical importance, the area is naturally beautiful, referred to many as the “dry Halong Bay,” with limestone peaks and fertile green valleys.
* After lunch, take the amzing boat trip to visit Trang An grottoes which is a gathering of 31 valleys, 50 cross-water caves, and home to 600 kinds of flora and over 200 kinds of fauna, many of them in the Red Book of Vietnam.
* While rowing through Trang An grotto in the quiet, fresh air of the highlands, with only the sound of birds and the oars stirring the clear water and surrounded by magnificent forested mountains upon which graze white goats, visitors enjoy a heaven on earth.
* The end of the day, drive back to Hanoi.
* In the afternoon we head back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 6 pm.
